Handbag / Man-Bag / Cross-Body Bag

Inspired by an original Swiss Army Mauser magazine pouch, made in 1962, this piece has been re-imagined and slightly redesigned as a beautiful yet functional small bag.

Easily big enough for your phone, keys and whatever other ecoutrements you need to survive the rigours of modern life. Or ammunition! the choice is yours.

I have two versions ready to go. See my other listing.

Both are made from a traditional vegetable tanned leather called Lyveden - a beautiful chestnut hide that will age beautifully. Both are set with solid brass hardware.

Mk I is made from this alone and hand-stitched with cream thread.

Mk II is the same leather, but partially lined with thin goatskin. It is hand stitched with a wonderful saddle-tan colour thread - a rich yellow / orange. The addition of lining gives the bag a satisfyingly heavy feel that is closer to the 1962 original in my collection - though takes hours longer to make!
