Artisan leather wallet - hand-made by me. This classic tri-fold wallet is made from quality top grain vegetable tanned leather.
I'm calling this one 'The Harlequin.' The outer shell is cut from natural tooling hide, the interior shell is a dark blue creased hide, the card slots are cut from a wonderfully soft chestnut brown and natural tooling hide.
I'm a great believer in sustainable production here at New Utility.
A huge amount of work goes in to producing leather hides and, as an artisan, it is right and proper to honour both the animal the hide came from and the skilled tanners that refined it by ensuring that we maximise its use.
This beautifully coloured wallet, a test build for a client, was made entirely from left over pieces from other projects and as such is one of one. I'll be making this type of wallet again, but not from these exact leathers.
Grab yourself a bargain. You won't normally find traditionally hand made wallets this cheaply.
Natural veg tan is my favourite hide to work with and the more you use this wallet the more a beautiful patina it will develop.
I have cut out every piece of leather and painstakingly saddle-stitched the pieces with 0.65mm Amy Roke thread for strength and style. I then sand, bevel and burnish the edges to seal them and stop them fraying.
This wallet is ready for immediate dispatch.
