Retro Mechanic's / Welder's / Cycling Cap
Hand-made by me, this beautiful cap is made to order from 11oz raw denim, with a light khaki cotton organic lining. The sweatband is made from bias cut ribbon.
These caps were issued to US Army mechanics in WW2 and were made to be worn under helmets and welding masks. They were also adopted by cyclists for the same reason.
Whether you're welding a bike a frame or just popping out for a coffee this stylish cap will keep you looking good.
Choose between contrast gold or matching khaki top stitching - just let me know when you order.
These really do look the part, whether you're after a period correct cap with all the right vintage details, or have simply been hankering after a stylish cap for a summer's day.
I use sustainable, local suppliers here in the UK and all fabric is of the highest quality.
The caps are made to measure - simply measure your head circumference in centimetres (around the widest part of your head) and let me know your size at time of order. Most adults are between 56 to 60 centimetres.
Production normally takes one or two weeks, as my mighty workshop consists of one man and a couple of old sewing machines! However, if you need something more quickly, just get in touch and I will see what I can do.
As items are made to your size to order I do not accept returns.
